Elk River Writing Project Summer Institute, ENGL 554-626

The Elk River Writing Project 2024 Mini Institute is place-based professional development for teachers designed to explore the unique connection of the Billings area to Montana's Indigenous peoples through writing.

Teachers of all grade levels and content areas are invited to join us August 20-21, from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., to experience Four Dances Recreation Area, Pictograph Caves State Park, and Plenty Coups State Park and Museum, including a visit to the battle site, a Sundance area, and the mission. Cost is $35 per day, or $60 for both. Registration is limited to 20 participants per day. Additional details will be sent to participants prior to the institute.

MSUB Parking Pass

You may purchase a parking pass in the amount of $20, that you will receive on the first day of class or you may opt to park off campus. 

Cancellations, Transfers, and Refunds

In the event that a course at MSUB Extended Campus does not meet the minimum number of participants, it will be canceled and participants will be called at least 5 (five) days prior to the start of the course. In the event a course is canceled, a full refund will be given or the fee can be transferred to pay for a different course.

If you must cancel your registration, you will receive a full refund if it is canceled 5 (five) business days prior to the start date of the program or course. Please note there are three different ways to register for a course through Extended Campus:  using our online system, calling us over the phone and giving us your credit card, or by coming in person to pay (by credit card or check).  If you must cancel your registration or if we must cancel a course, your refund will be issued directly back on your credit card ONLY if you paid by credit card using our online registration system.  If you call or come into our office to pay using a credit card or by check, we must issue a refund through the State of Montana which requires a completed W9 form (and you must provide your social security number).  Please keep this in mind when registering for courses.  If you have questions or problems using our online system, please contact us at either 406-657-2092 or Richard.Solomon@msubillings.edu and we can help you.
